Facts and news stories about poverty in our province are helpful but seeing a group of people tell their own stories is so impactful. It was a pleasure to watch something that so clearly empowered the creators to share their experiences, often very difficult experiences, in authentic ways with the public.
Such a great play! I think more of our community needs to hear this – especially politicians and other leaders. Also I like the idea of taking it into schools to educate kids. Congratulations, and thanks so much for your vulnerability in sharing these stories.
Thank you for sharing your stories – your pain. Very humbling – but for the grace of God go I. I think that donations should be suggested from audience members. I applaud these people – their courage is admirable. This play should keep going – the stories need to reach more people. Each of these people are heroes to have the courage to tell their stories. It is only through sharing that things will change.
This play was really beautifully done! The stories were difficult to hear but I’m so glad that I could hear them. It’s clear that these people and stories are important and need to be heard. Their perspective is important and they need to be part of the conversations that are had about these topics. These are members of my community and I’m really glad I was able to see this play. I think projects like this are really helpful and important in breaking down barriers and helping us realize how much we have in common as people, and how this could happen to any one of us. Thanks for all the hard work that went into this coming together!
Thank you for all you did. You are brave! You are strong! You are funny!
Funny and very sad at times. I laughed and cried. It was wonderful. Thank you for the beautiful play. It felt raw and real. Hats off to the cast! ❤
WOW. So powerful, so important, so painful, so vital – for students, educators, community agents of inherently oppressive and racist systems; can this play be available to present even after your formal performances have ended? THANK you – not only for sharing your pain and trials, but also your strength, courage, and resiliency/more wholistic responses to humanity in all sectors are needed, no matter how much it costs.
The play so struck me with the skill, wit and sensitivity in every aspect – thought, writing, acting, props, staging – that I found I had to come twice (Hope I didn’t take someone else’s space.) Have to mention too, the music + sound effects – so clever, interesting, hilarious + beautiful! Thanks for doing this!
